The Heart of the Rhode Island Fig Community.

I’m a fig enthusiast from Rhode Island, on a mission to expand the fig community. Over a decade ago, I started with a few fig trees, and now I teach, share, and grow the passion. After speaking at multiple fig events in Massachusetts, I'm now hosting my own fig events and workshops as well.

My Fig Journey

It all began when, during COVID, I asked for advice online. My mentor, Carlos, told me, "You don’t know what you’re doing," and that was the spark. Today, I pass on what I learned, helping others grow their own fig journeys.

The Magic of Figs

Figs are diverse—hundreds of varieties, each with its own flavor. I often say, if you know which apple you love, you can find that same connection with figs. If you say you don’t like figs, I say, you just haven’t met the one you like yet.

What I Offer

I teach propagation, seasonal care, and how to pair figs with cheeses, jams, and recipes as well as cooking demonstrations. Follow my YouTube channel, Figland Foodies, for tutorials and inspiration.
